Just noting an interesting email sending app I’ve seen seen: PencilBooth. It stands out to me because it’s ultra-focused on simplicity (without actually overstating that). There aren’t a bunch of templates that you spend ages prodding into shape. You just write an email (a “take” as they call it), are highly encouraged to drop a bunch of images into it, and send it.

It feels modern in that you get a URL for yourself that becomes the home for your newsletter, where people can subscribe and view the history, but is functionally more like one of those “Link in Bio” pages that help you point to other places.

It just looks classy and well-done and I wish them the best.
