I came across this paid product the other day: Supabox. “A Gmail add-on for Founders to stay on top of the inbox”.
I can’t really tell why it’s just for “founders” but OK. It literally does one thing: tags your emails. Their example:

So you make your own tags, then as emails come in, it sends the entire email to the ChatGPT API with some kind of prompt like “If you got this email {BARF_OUT_EMAIL}, which of these tags {BARF_OUT_TAGS} would you choose?” and tags it that.
Honestly that feels a little light for $13/month to me, but hey, I bet it does what it says it does. And if tagging is ultra important to you, maybe it’s worth it.
It does make me wonder though — who are you super taggers? Does it actually help you… what? Focus? Scope what you’re looking at to those categories? Help you archive stuff you don’t need? Find diamonds in the rough?
Charitably, I think it’s fine. It imparts some extra organization, might help you find stuff later, makes you take your inbox more seriously, etc. Realistically, I don’t think tags are doing much for you. It’s trying to smooth over way to too much crap in your inbox and keeping your inbox generally tidy to begin with eliminates the need. But that’s just me talking, feel free to enlighten me with other perspectives.
